V-ZUG was founded in Zug, Switzerland in 1913. The “V” stands for the brand’s history as a galvanising plant (“verzinkerei” in German) and “ZUG” for the brand’s commitment to the Zug region in Switzerland.

About the Chef

Australian-born Chef John-Paul Fiechtner (or JP for short) took on the role of Executive Chef at V-DINING in September 2020. Classically trained, he first cut his teeth in the professional kitchen in Queensland where he grew up. JP then journeyed across four continents, spending time in Germany, France, Dubai, Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore as well as other parts of Australia.


In 2015, he co-founded his first restaurant. The avant-garde Lûmé, in Melbourne, was awarded one Chef Hat in the same year. The following year, JP founded Thirteen Duxton Hill in Singapore. The accomplished chef’s life and career have taken him across the globe. These experiences inform his cuisine.
